Windows operating systems have a built-in firewalls but their functions and usage are often a complete mystery to the average user, who finds his activites occasioanally hampered by the firewall, though he may not know how to adjust his firewall settings. Luckily, BiniSoft has created an intuitive and easy to use windows firewall control that sits in the system tray, so users can personalize and modify their firewall settings.
The controller has options to disable and enable the firewall, and includes filtering mode icons in the system tray. The filtering modes range from "no filtering"to "high filtering." "High filtering" means all attempts to connect to your computer are totally blocked, including attempts made by the programs on the "allowed" programs list. The "medium" and "low" filtering options are happy mediums between high and no filtering.
The Windows Firewall Control is a small, executable file, simple to install for the average user. Registered users have access to additional features, like the ability to password-lock the program settings (including uninstallation) and notifications for blocked outgoing connections. These options greatly increase the security and personalization of the program.
Perhaps the best part of the program is its simplicity of use. The most important icons and menus appear in the system tray, and many of the functions take only one click to complete, minimizing browsing interruption. The program also starts upon user login, so the computer is never left unprotected.
