Windows uses your computer's registry as a database for a great deal of information about your system software. There's system settings, program information, product registration information, device drivers and thousands of additional pieces of information added to the registry over the course of using your computer. As you change your computer by adding and removing devices, uninstalling programs and other processes, you'll have a lot of information in your registry that the computer no longer needs, which can cause system issues. Ainvo Registry Defrag seeks to mitigate any problems that bad or outdated information in your registry can cause.
Ainvo Registry Defrag runs an optimizer through the registry, looking specifically for entries no longer in use. It also identifies those that are not working properly or are corrupted. Prior to running any optimization settings, the software creates a backup copy of your current registry. Removing the wrong entries can render your operating system unusable, so it's great that the backup function is built-in to this application. Ainvo Registry Defrag creates a report that you can look through following the process completion. This software is completely free as long as you are not using it in a commercial manner. It works with any version of the Windows operating system. You need 128 megs of RAM and 25 megs of hard drive space to install this software.
