Softango review
Graphic designers, illustrators and digital photographers have one thing in common. They all like to play with their art on the computer. Most of them, like myself, have taken Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator and learned to use the mountain of tools within the software to create out of this world effects on their projects and photos. When new plugins or updates come along, we like to be ahead of the curve, and love trying it out before others get the chance.
ZbornToy is one such download. It's unfortunate that it's just a demo, because you really want to keep some of the tools they're talking about and make them part of your regular design repertoire. ZbornToy is an Adobe After Effects plugin that shows you the coolest ways to lighten and texture backgrounds, add dimension and shading without altering surface color, and extract information from simple images. All Windows operating systems support the demo, and it runs best, obviously, if you have Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop programmed into your computer or laptop already. The only problem with the demo is that it adds a watermark, but if you're only testing it to see if you want the full application, then it's no big deal.
I'm fairly certain though that once you try the ZbornToy demo, you'll want the full version. It's a lot like waving a $2000 digital camera in front of a digital photographer's face and watching him drool with anticipation. He just has to have it, and so will you with this software.
