From the company that made emulation a walk in the park comes DAEMON Tools Ultra. The "ultra" version includes everything you've come to know and love about the Lite and Pro versions with a few added features. Ultra enables you to mount images in a variety of formats, including
Plus, you can easy convert less-common file types into the popular ISO or MDF formats. Burn those images to CDs, DVDs or even Blu-Ray discs, and play games from those discs on other computers with DAEMON Tools Ultra, which allows you to split images or compress images to make them compatible with discs that have lower capacities. One of the newest features is the ability to do all of this from widgets.
When mounting data, this program can mount up to 32 images simultaneously. Most people won't use that function, but it's handy to have it. DAEMON Tools Ultra includes options to create virtual hard drives and to back up your data to those VHDs. This list of functions goes on, and it includes the ability to work with iSCSI targets and to get information such as videos and screenshots about games in your ISO files to keep your library organized. While you likely don't need third-party software to burn audio or data discs, DAEMON Tools Ultra does that, too. Of course, you can password protect your ISOs/images to keep prying eyes from accessing your data.
If you haven't used DAEMON Tools in a while, the updated GUI looks pretty slick. You can quickly view everything in your images library, while the program even looks for news about content in those ISOs. The drag and drop system enables you to quickly mount those images with no technical expertise, which is useful if you're not tech-savvy. One feature that DAEMON Tools users should be accustomed to is the ability to copy discs from virtual or physical drives to another drive. The option to finalize means you can add more data to your discs at a later date.
