AnyDVD is a downloadable application that allows users to decrypt DVDs that were encrypted using the CSS encryption protocol. It removes copy protections and DRM so that users can make backup copies of their discs. After installation, you must reboot your PC, but then the software does its work in the background without requiring user attention. When you do want to interact with it, the user menu is easy to follow, and is presented along the left side of the screen. AnyDVD supports NSTC and PAL-DVD and decrypts music CDs. The resulting copy is free of region codes or other DRM. The resulting clean file can be manipulated by a variety of additional tools if you need to make a lot of complex changes, but you can also use this tool to remove DVD introductions, trailers, clips, advertisements, parental guidance warnings and trade restriction and copyright notices. You can set subtitle transparency to remove them from the screen, or shorten titles. It fully supports HD and Blu-ray formats, and you can create an iso file from the tool as well, to create DVDs. AnyDVD runs on all versions of Windows, including Windows 7 64 bit and is available in a free trial version.
