Have you ever seen those scenes in spy movies or suspense thrillers where kidnappers change their voices and it's really eerie and creepy but cool at the same time? You know what I'm talking about. So that stuff is really real, as we're aware and it's brought to you by AV Voice Changer Software Diamond Edition 7.0.47, a free download from softango.com. Because it's free it does have a few limitations, as in just how many voices you're allowed to use and how many days you can use the software for free. I know, kind of a bummer. But for 14 glorious days, you can change your voice to sound like 3 different males and 3 different females and call all your friends and enemies by computer chat and phone and really mess with them, or just use it as most RPG gamers do to hide their identities inside the games.
Any Windows OS can support this, which is the good thing. You still have to deal with a nag screen, and it only records 5 minutes. There's no Parody maker, but I'm not sure why you'd want one given the amount of ridiculous fun you can have with the voice changer alone. You do have to have 250MB of RAM, speakers, a full Duplex sound card, and 1Gh compatible processor in order for all of this to work. Of course being able to make PC2phone calls is an obvious major component unless you're only going to use it for chat or morphing your voice for pre-recorded bits for making movies, music or voice-overs. Really the limitations on this program for two weeks has more to do with the user's limited imagination than anything else and after the free trial I don't know who wouldn't want to buy the whole package. Especially if you plan on getting into any sort of business or industry with sound effects because you can also morph your voice into animal sounds, which is super cool and celebvoices too.
