One of the things that drives me crazy is when my contact list in Outlook has duplicate entries for the same person. When I go to send that person an -mail, I don't want to be guessing at which email address is the current one or whether I happen to know someone else with the same name who I had forgotten about.

It is a Windows-based program that works on Windows 7, Vista, 2003, or XP, and the demo allows you to process up to 50 duplicate contacts per session. However, the program remembers your settings, so it is easy to start another session right back where you left off.
The program allows you to have as little or as much control as you want over the process of searching for and fixing duplicate contacts. This is a great feature for me because I like to have a program check for me, but confirm on my own that the contact is actually a duplicate before I merge it with another. With ContactGenie Duplicate Contact Manager 2.2.0, I can look at each potential duplicate and decide whether to fully merge them, merge just some fields, or simply delete one of the contact listings. Even if I set it on the automatic setting, I can still preview all the changes made before they are permanent, which gives me a chance to fix any contacts that were separate for a reason.
I highly recommend this program to anyone who has a large contact list in Outlook and who has trouble managing it effectively. The program works quickly and will clean things up right away so you can get on with confidently sending emails to all your contacts and mailing lists. The interface is very easy to use, and although the program has lots of options, they are easy to understand so you can set things up how you want them the first time around.
