Transferring data between serial instruments and Windows computers is made much easier with the use of the datAxe software package. This conversion software provides a flexible and straightforward way of making serial data from your computer available over TCP/IP networks on Windows computers. datAxe 2.2 allows its users to send and receive serial data between various devices, remote computers and applications from both physical and virtual serial ports.
With datAxe, users can take advantage of its built-in two-way I/O support. All you have to do is connect your serial instrument to your computer’s serial port (RS232, RS422 or RS485). Users can also integrate the device into their local area network, making it more convenient to transfer data between entire networks. Virtual port creation and configuration is also a cinch with datAxe 2.2.
COM port pairs are easy to create and set up with the duplAxe component, allowing direct communication with local applications for data exchanges. The Comport application is another easy-to-use component that allows computers running on the same network to transfer serial data via remote serial ports. The user simply connects to a TCP/IP port while one or more instances of Comport run in the background, depending on the number of ports being used.
The Comport component of datAxe is valuable for pushing serial data through corporate intranet networks or over the Internet. Overall, datAxe is a valuable tool that makes serial data transfers much easier to deal with.
