OMG! I totally want this software in my web developing toolkit! It drives me crazy to work with this demo because of the things I can do with the software but it was super awesome that I could try it out first. I wasn't sure I really needed this kind of development tool, but after downloading this free demo of doPublicity Digital Signage Manager, I don't know how I can possibly live without it!
Talk about multitasking software, doPublicity Digital Signage Manager does it all! I love being able to work split-screen with an additional monitor or TV screen so I can have the visuals of how it's all coming together, and you can do this with this program. I can totally mess around with the backgrounds, screen colors, text colors, and scrolling banners, and it doesn't have a problem with my customized content, or what I like to refer to as my "original art". I can upload anything into it including videos, which a lot of clients really like on their sites now and it gets complicated sometimes so this is great.
You can schedule things like a dayparter or auto reboot but I don't use the first one and I wouldn't recommend the second unless you have some serious issues with your internet provider or you just want to check the effectiveness of your work on a really anal scale. The screen orientation and auto screen sizing are useful if you're working on smaller details of a web page, but I really liked the operating logs and screen logs feature because I'm ridiculously forgetful and absent minded so those are definitely useful to me to keep me where I should be, which is on task. Windows Vista through Win7x64 are all supported. Personally I have Win7 and had no issues running the demo; I hope the software itself runs just as smooth.
