DualSup is one of those interesting pieces of software that you never realize how useful it is until you use it. The program is designed to convert Blu-Ray subtitles from one format to another, along with giving you a number of powerful editing options. The program can import SRT, SST, BDN and ASS/SSA subtitle files, although the ASS/SSA files will come in with no effects, and export to PES, SUP or BDN files. The PES and BDN output options also allow you to then easily import the files using a third-party authoring program like Scenarist.
Perhaps the most powerful function of DualSup 1.4.1.0 is the ability to merge two sets of subtitles into one, even if the subtitles use a different time line. Using this feature, you can position subtitles from two different languages at the same time, or even display director review subtitles while showing the standard language subtitles.
DualSup uses an easy-to-understand interface and supports a variety of powerful editing tools. Using this software you can resize the subtitle images and reset their position, manage fade effects, use images as subtitles, create outline and shadow effects, and edit in-time and out-time. The software also allows you to convert the subtitles to vertical text, or to a right-to-left reading order. There is even a real-time preview so you can see your changes as you work.
DualSup 1.4.1.0 requires a Windows 7/Vista/XP/2000 system with at least a Pentium II 500 MHz processor and 512 MB of RAM. The demo version of the software doesn’t have an expiration date, although it is limited by only allowing input from SRT files and only building the first 30 lines of subtitles.
