Information about DOCM files and how to open them

DOCM - Word Open XML Macro-Enabled Document (DOCM) is a type of file extension created by Windows, specifically Microsoft Office, in which it is a macro-enabled file as it is an Open XML Format Document. The macros can be executed inside the file to automate tasks within a .DOCX file.

DOCM is a Word file, so it can easily be opened using Microsoft Word itself, particularly starting with Office 2007 where it was first introduced. There are also other previous versions that support this file format in which the Open XML component is an included feature.
