INX - Adobe InDesign Interchange File is a document file that is exported using Adobe’s InDesign in the popular XML format. This file is used to describe an InDesign INDD file and features pages, content, frames of text, guides, margins and much more. Adobe InDesign files that are exported using the INX file type can always be opened by InDesign CS save for the features that are only featured in Adobe’s CS2. Many features of the INX - Adobe InDesign Interchange File include SING glyphlets, footnotes, anchored objects, imported PSD files and even object files and other types of data.
When attempting to export any InDesign document file in the popular INX type, you must click “File” and then “Export.” Next, select “InDesign Interchange” if you are using a Mac or in the File Type menu of options for Windows users. Finally, choose the “save” option.
