Track the total time you spend working on your projects

The jTime-IT application was designed to be a small tool that lets you track the total time you spend working on your projects. You can track time for as many projects as you want, optionally add a description for your projects, and you can start, stop or reset the timer for each individual project. Projects that no longer need to be tracked can of course be removed.

You can set a project alarm time, which will trigger a signal when the total project time reaches the alarm setpoint. Project data is saved automatically upon program exit and reloaded when you restart the program. You can manually save the project data any time while the program is running.

All project events (start, stop, reset) can optionally be written to a logfile. JTime-IT
also contains a basic report generator.

If you are looking for an easy way to track how long you are spending on specific projects, jTime-IT 1.6, which is Windows freeware developed by Luc Van Bogaert, is an ideal choice for you.

The interface for jTime-IT is quite simple and was easy to navigate, both in setting up projects for the first time and when tracking them on a regular basis. You only need to enter a project name to start tracking the time, although you can add a longer description for your own records if you would like. When you are done with a project, you can easily delete it from the program to keep it from getting cluttered.

One of the great features of the program is that it allows you to set an alarm after you have been working on a project for a specific amount of time. This allows you to keep yourself from going too far over the amount of time you intended to spend on the project.

The program automatically saves all of the data every time you close it and opens with everything just as it was the last time you closed the program. It doesn't use much memory, so you can really just have it running in the background as you work on your computer.

When you need to track your progress on a project, jTime-IT has a built-in feature that allows you to generate reports with the data on how long you have spent on your project. It also sorts all of your projects in several ways to help you see how you have been spending your time overall. This is a great feature that helps me better track my time at the computer and motivates me to stay on task.
