Jvifm 0.12b, an open source software free for commercial and personal use, offers these improvements to older versions:
Features:
· Display of free space/total space information when browsing driver root paths
· “Open with . . . “ option in context menu
· “Find” command provides “whole name” option; jvifm can then search the whole file name
· Active file panel given a light yellow background to distinguish it from inactive panel
· Cmdline shows “original,” “visual,” and “tag” in different operating modes
· File mime icons
· Support of more vi key bindings by the file tree panel
· Prompting for more information if overwriting files on copy/move
· “Ga” key binding changed to “ss”
· Added “swap” command allows swapping of panels

Installation Recommendations/Warnings
· Installation of a JRE (1.6 or above) environment since jvifm is in Java
· Put a “gvim” or “gvim.exe” in the path environment variable since jvifm will automatically default to a “gvim” command
· To protect your computer from viruses, spyware and malware, download this software only from authorized distributors
· Since the program is being constantly upgraded, some current information may need updating
· Beware of older (fewer features) and pirated versions (potential harm to your computer and to your privacy)
