Limagito FileMover Lite 18.104.22.168 Snapshot / 22.214.171.124 Review
Limagito FileMover Lite is a powerful utility that does a few unexpected things. Rather than simply move files back and forth, which is something that Windows can do without any help, there are built-in features that make this a handy utility for almost anyone.
To start with, Limagito works from the system tray and keeps up constant monitoring. This means that if a folder that is being monitored receives new files; they can automatically be copied and/or moved to a different location.
Another great part of the tool that is not available from default operating system functions is the use of FTP folders. Typically, FTP folders are difficult and troublesome to deal with through Windows itself, this is not true with Limagito FileMover.
There is a built-in event manager that can be used for so many functions that the imagination is the only limit. It used a simple flow chart type interface that uses an “if this happens” then “do this” type logic. This is very nice handling small networks of employees or even some family photo folders.
If a user is worried that the automated portions of the program will cause issues, there is a backup file extension option. This means that when moving a file, a back can be made that will protect the original from loss or damage.
One of the best options is the organization features. Anyone that has ever had a huge folder filled with various music files or photos can appreciate this function. With the organize feature on, as files are moved from one folder to another, they will be placed into folders based on options that the users set.
The organize feature does not have to be set for all file moving, it can be setup to work with one move or one set of file moves. Deeper organization can be used on file moves to only move those with a certain date, or those before or after a certain date.
There are so many useful functions that they cannot even be described here. It is best to download the free version of Limagito FileMover Lite and give it a try.
