MailEnable Standard 6.01 offers webmail that integrates email transmission (SMTP) and receipt (POP3) between Internet servers. It supports unlimited users and domains. Installation and administration are simple.
SMTP and POP3 Features
MailEnable Standard 6.01's SMTP (simple mail transfer protocol) features include: supporting RFC 821, 974, 1869, 2554, 2821; binding to specific or all IP addresses; granting or denying access for IP address ranges; running scripts or executables on an email SMTP authentication; allowing you to accept or deny email when the sender domain does not resolve; and banning email on a domain-to-domain basis. Functions for connecting with user mailboxes through POP3 include support for RFC 1939 and APOP secure authentication as well as choice of IP address ranges that can be granted or denied access.
List Server Capabilities
MailEnable Standard 6.01 allows easy subscription or unsubscription of members, information mail outs, discussion groups, moderated and unmoderated lists and the addition of headers and footers to messages.
Administration Console
The administration application of MailEnable Standard 6.01 allows you to delete messages globally or by age, mailbox or postoffice. It is easy to redirect email addresses and import Windows users as well as disable/enable users, postoffices or domains and create random passwords.
Security, Diagnostic and Anti-Spam Features
MailEnable Standard 6.01 protects your mail server from unauthorized access. Security measures include SMTP authentication, integrated Windows authentication, and relay control. A comprehensive diagnostic reporting utility assists quickly diagnoses and resolves problems. Built-in, anti-spam features include PTR record checking, DNS blacklisting, and auto-banning of IP addresses.
New in this Release
MailEnable Standard 6.01 has improved a number of functions including making translation of Spanish and Italian in mail administration better, allowing for installation of the METray utility if .Net 3.5 is not installed, and playing MP3 files with “\” in their filenames. Other improvements include reporting mailbox quotas instead of unlimited quotas to clients.
