The NoScript 2.2 is an add-on that provides protection for different web browsers, such as Mozilla, Firefox and Flock that only allow JavaScript and Java execution on trusted domains that you determine are safe.
Very few programs are out there to protect these web browsers, which makes NoScript 2.2 a little unique. It’s a pre-emptive script blocking program that basically prevents exploitation of security issues, either known or unknown, without losing any functionality.
In the NoScript 2.2 program, there is a NoScript status bar that you can click to enable the Java/JavaScript execution with the single click of a mouse. This way if you are on a home banking site, an educational site or any other trusted site, you can activate the execution, plus you don’t have to worry about a bunch of pop-ups interfering with your browser status.
Our review of the NoScript 2.2 download is pretty high because it has some extensive features that help it to be unique. This includes protection against the DNS-rebinding attacks that target routers as well as a number of anti-adblocker scripts that will prevent a page from breaking whenever ads are disabled. Other features include:
- Faster anti-XSS protection
- ABE enhancements
- Error Management on surrogate scripts
- Ruleset Editor built-in
- Universal flash blocking
- HTTPS enforcing has been improved
Features are abundant through this software, making it a great program to download and try out. In comparison to many others out there, we haven’t found another that is quite this efficient in script blocking.
The versions of NoScript 2.2 are enhanced with each new release because many of the external filters are still being experimented with. This includes providing more protection and allowing more control of what the browsers do and don’t allow to be viewed and downloaded. The designer has put a lot of thought into the making of the program and the end result is that NoScript 2.2 is a great program for anyone using Mozilla Firefox or Flock browsers.
The most recent change in the NoScript 2.2 was that there has been improved protection against nested window flash target click jacking. This is a very critical upgrade that has helped the efficiency of the software.
