The statistics provided by OutlookStatView are useful in a variety of applications including scheduling, activity analysis, and increasing productivity using email.

OutlookStatView is freeware supported on the Windows Operating System developed by Nir Sofer. It is a light weight application with a short install time that operates when outlook is running. It will scan your email boxes and display an array of new information to the user. For each user (or email address) it will display a number for outgoing messages to that address (with replies/ CC/ BCC) all separated, another number for incoming messages to you from that number, another indicating the total file size of all messages sent by that user, a message containing the type of software client that user is working from, and a clock range showing you the time range when communication has historically happened with that person. Using this information you can make decisions about incoming file loads and schedule with better knowledge of when users will be available.

You can scan the files on your computer for outlook files, so if you only have one profile that does not require any password then you can use OutlookStatView to scan your email messages without having to open Outlook at all. For more complicated setups, you can scan different profiles and password secured profiles once you have opened outlook. These features make this application perfect for users who need to analyze their email closely, or understand their email useage better.

The statistics are displayed in your email activity window inside of Outlook Express. If you have a large amount of files in your email system scanning your email may take up to a few minutes, but for smaller amounts of email messages and attachments it may only take a second or two, depending on your computer hardware.

OutlookStatView have recently been updated to fix the tab order of the Scan Options window and receives updates to major bugs and problems.
