The claim on this PC Cleanup utility is that it will "Fix your PC and registry in less than 15 minutes." This is probably true if you have a smaller hard drive that isn't as cluttered as mine. Of course if that's the case, how much do you really need a cleanup utility? Still, I think the point they are trying to make is that the utility is relatively quick, and that is true.
The set of tools contained in the PC cleanup utility is pretty standard--there's a registry cleaner and repair tool, disk cleanup utility, uninstaller, startup program manager and defragmentor. Of course, the question I always ask myself when I see a program like this is simply "Are these tools better than the ones that are already on my computer?" Let's face it, Windows provides all of those tools, so there's no point in downloading them again unless they're better, right?
Well, the good news is that these tools are better than Windows. Certainly quicker, and as near as I can tell, more effective, too. Of course no two cleanups are going to be exactly the same, but it seemed to me like my machine was running better after using this tool than it did after using my existing programs, plus these were all conveniently located in the same suite. The only issues I had with the utility were that there were several unnecessary ad-ons I had to refuse during install and a recurring "Nag screen" to deal with.
