X-Firefox is a portable version of (registered trademark of the Mozilla Foundation) created by winPenPack.com using the unchanged official binary downloaded from Mozilla.org, in agreement with the \"Mozilla Trademark Policy\". X-Firefox contains Mozilla Firefox in its unmodified setup form into the \Lib\Mozilla\Firefox\setup_en\ directory.

At first run, automatically and in \"silent\" mode, will be executed the setup, extracting and moving all program files into the initially empty \Bin folder, and preparing the correct .ini file. At the end of installation, the setup file will be removed from \Lib folder. It supports multilingual interface: Italian and English.

The Mozilla Foundation has released X-Firefox 8.0 [rev4], a new, portable version of the well known and fast web browser Firefox. The developer’s winPenPack has improved the start-up time for when windows are restored and allows you to have a preference to load tabs on demand.

X-Firefox 8.0 was quickly released because of some of its competitors in the industry including Google Chrome. X-Firefox not only offers new features, but also bumped up the security and enhanced add-on management. Some of the features offered include: adding Twitter to the search bar, improved tab animations when moving or detaching tabs, and improved WebSocket support.

Although X-Firefox 8.0 is an improvement from the original Firefox there are still some issues. When visiting Google + there are times when the back and forward buttons will stop working. When you do any scrolling in the main GMail at times it lags and can be slower than usual. Also, if you are using a locked profile when you try to start Firefox, it will crash.

Overall, X-Firefox 8.0 offers many advantages over other web browsers because of its improved speed and performance. It also has a multilingual interface including English an Italian. Installing X-Firefox will override your existing Firefox, but you will not lose your browsing history or bookmarks.
